Old age.

You can’t escape it.

It befalls upon you when you’re least expecting and brings you face to face with your fate.

Even the most powerful humans in history tried and failed to escape it.

Alexander the Great went on a quest for the “water of life” in what is now the Middle East.

Genghis Khan asked Taoist monk Qiu Chuji to give him the secret “medicine for immortality”.

Ponce de Leon searched endlessly for the Fountain of Youth.

Hungarian countess, Erzsébet Báthory, bathed in the blood of virgins to retain her youth.

What if you could actually do what these powerful leaders spent their lives trying to do: reverse aging?

You can.

After collaborating with the most brilliant biology professors from Harvard and the University of Texas, here are the Top 3 ways you can reverse biological aging.

First, Why Do You Age?

Aging is simply a loss of information.

Imagine you have a High School Musical DVD.

Your genetic information is the movie file that is stored on the DVD.

Your epigenome is the DVD Reader.

Over time, your High School Musical DVD accumulates scratches because you’re lazy and leave it everywhere in your room.

When you rewatch the movie, however, you scream and yell at the TV because the DVD Reader keeps pausing and skipping parts of the movie. The DVD Reader can no longer read the DVD in the same way your epigenome loses its ability to interpret your genetic information.

This is why you age.

1. EAT LESS

The government, your teachers, and your mom lied to you.

They all told you to eat three meals a day.

That’s all fine and dandy…if you want to die faster.

Your body has three main longevity genes: mTOR, AMPK, and Sirtuins. These genes recruit enzymes that repair broken DNA.

In satiety, your body turns off these longevity genes because it is not in a state of survival.

Dr. Clive McCay from Cornell University discovered that the life span of rats increased by 30% through restricting their caloric intake. The same can be done with humans.

By starving yourself throughout the day, your body’s longevity genes turn on and repair broken DNA.

So, what should you do?

Skip 1-2 meals per day to turn on your longevity genes. Ideally, you should eat one meal per day to experience the full benefits. Though you’re only eating 1-2 meals per day, these meals can be big as long as you only eat during those intervals. This is similar to intermittent fasting.

2. Lose Your Breathe

Exercise.

There’s no other way around it.

Trust me, I wish there was another way.

This doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym a million times every week for a million hours a session.

Exercising for as little as 10 minutes a day turns on your longevity genes. This is not a result of just any exercise, you have to get out of breathe. In other words, you need to be huffing and puffing for air.

The simplest way to accomplish this is running for 10 minutes 2-3 times per week.

Running is not the only way, however. You could also jump on a trampoline or ride a bicycle.

Whatever you do, lose your breathe.

3. Get Rest & Don’t Stress

No matter what anyone says, you need sleep.

Lack of sleep affects your overall health and makes you prone to heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity.

In fact, just one night of 4 hours of sleep reduces cancer cell fighting activity by 70%.

Therefore, get 7-8 hours of sleep.

Lastly, don’t stress.

I know, easier said than done.

Stress produces high levels of cortisol and accelerates grey hair growth.

Have you ever noticed that young men and women in stressful occupations grow grey hair prematurely?

Constant stress will age you anywhere from 5-10 years quicker.

Stress and lack of sleep perhaps will age you more rapidly than anything else.

Avoid them at all costs.

Next time you are in a stressful situation, go for a walk or get some fresh air.

If you experience stress daily, do this every day.
